Nineteen-year-old KATHERINE HEIGL (Jade) made her feature film debut at the age of 12 in That Night, with Juliette Lewis and C. Thomas Howell. This was followed by a co-starring role in Stephen Soderburghs critically lauded depression-era drama King of the Hill. However, it was her memorable star turn in the delightful comedy My Father The Hero , which captured the hearts of critics and audiences alike when, at the age of 14, Heigl starred in the central role of Nicole, a rebellious teenager who is determined to grow up too fast to the exasperation of her father, played by international film star Gerard Depardieu. The following year, she appeared with Steven Segal in the action thriller Under Siege 2, in the pivotal role of Segals niece who is kidnapped as bait when terrorists seize the train she is on.
Raised in Connecticut, Heigl got her first taste of the camera lens at the age of nine as a child model. It wasnt long before she moved on to commercial work, which opened the door to film roles. Following graduation from high school, Heigl moved to California to concentrate on her career full-time and subsequently starred in the independent features Prince Valiant, Stand-ins, and Wish Upon A Star.
Heigl most recently completed production on the Hallmark Hall of Fame telefilm American Tempest, starring opposite Peter Fonda.
